Over 70 representatives of environmental NGOs, participants of these sessions were trained in:
- advocacy and lobby (18-19, and 26 November 2015), addressing environmental issues related to mobilizing the community to influence public decisions that affect their lives.
- project proposal writing (24-25 November 2015 and 8-9 December 2015), helping to strengthen the capacity of NGOs to develop ideas and translate them into projects in the format requested by the donor to be eligible and to ensure maximum funding opportunities.
Most participants were eager to learn how to develop a project that would be helpful for nature and community, and to ensure its relevance in accordance with GEF requirements. The trainings have raised the interest of many participants, in the GEF's areas, motivating them to apply for grants of the GEF Small Grants Programme.
At the end of the sessions, participants received a certificate of participation.
