Topic: Training session for capacity development of NGOs in Moldova in the areas of advocacy and lobbying, project proposals writing
Dear (a) Sir / Madam,
The Small Grants Program of the Global Environment Facility, implemented by UNDP and funded by the European Union is inviting NGOs from Moldova to participate in a training program with two components:
The first component on advocacy and lobbying (18-19 November, 2015) focuses on addressing environmental issues related to mobilizing the community to influence public decisions that affect their lives.
The second component on project proposals writing (24-25 November, 2015) aims to develop the NGOs skills in project proposals writing and fund mobilization. The aim is to strengthen the capacity of NGOs to develop ideas and translate them into projects in the format requested by the donor to be eligible and to ensure maximum funding opportunities.
These trainings will be held within the project "Strengthening Environmental Governance by Building the Capacity of Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs)", funded by the European Union and implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and delivered by the GEF Small Grants Programme (SGP).
The Small Grants Programme of the Global Environment Fund provides support to organizations and communities in developing countries by offering grants to solving global environmental issues, such as climate change, biodiversity conservation, protection of international waters, prevention of land degradation, reduce the impact of pollutants and other persistent organic chemicals. All costs relating to transportation from place of residence (if outside of Chisinau city, based on travel tickets presented), accommodation, food and materials are covered by the organizers.
